At the beginning of February 2011, Marriott International announced that it will no longer feature access to pornographic movies in the rooms of all of its new hotels. And this policy will eventually be implemented in all its current properties. But before congratulating Marriott International for its moral stand, consider the reason for policy shift. Marriott has determined that fewer and fewer of its guests order pornography when it is available free on the internet. Travellers with their own laptops or mobile devices can simply dial up films without paying the premium the hotel charges. It seems that people are not restraining their sexual urges. They are merely becoming more budget-conscious in fulfilling them.
